Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to commit to the whole Rock Show season?

Yes. Rock Shows are designed as a team experience, with every member working towards the same live performance. We ask participants to commit to attending rehearsals regularly so the whole band can prepare with confidence.

What if I can't make every rehearsal?

We understand that life happens. While regular attendance is important, if you know you'll miss the occasional rehearsal, let us know in advance and we'll work with you to minimise the impact on your band.

How are the bands put together?

We carefully match musicians based on their instrument, experience, musical interests and availability. Our goal is to create bands that are well balanced both musically and socially.

Can I join with a friend?

Absolutely! Friends are welcome to join together wherever possible. Let us know when you register your interest and we'll do our best to place you in the same Rock Show.

Do I need to be an experienced musician?

Not necessarily.  We cater for a range of playing abilities.  Our coaches are experienced at structuring arrangements and assigning parts based on each player's experience and ability.  If there's any doubt about your suitability for the program, we can discuss that at a "meet and greet" before you join the program.  We recommend this for most new players.

How much does it cost?

Rock Shows cost $95 per week and include a 2-hour professionally coached rehearsal each week, culminating in a professionally produced live Rock Show at the end of the season.
