Bands for Kids & Teens

Learn. Rehearse. Perform. Grow.

WEB-78.jpg

Our Under 18 Band Program is where young musicians develop their skills, make great friends and experience the thrill of performing live.  Many of our past students have progressed into professional bands and music careers.

Whether your child already takes lessons at Big Music or is joining us for the first time, we'll help them find a real band experience that's the best fit for their age, experience and musical interests.

How it Works

Our Band Program is built around Rock Shows - Big Music's unique approach to helping young musicians experience the excitement of playing in a real band.

Rather than simply putting children into ongoing bands, each Rock Show brings together a carefully selected group of young musicians to rehearse a themed set of songs over the course of a season. Along the way, they'll develop their musical skills, build confidence, make new friends and learn what it takes to perform as part of a team.

Every Rock Show culminates in an exciting live performance, giving every child a clear goal to work towards and an unforgettable experience to celebrate their progress.

As students grow in confidence and ability, they simply move on to the next Rock Show with brand new songs, themes and bandmates, making each season a fresh musical adventure.

Every Rock Show includes

  • Weekly professionally coached band rehearsals

  • A fun, supportive team environment

  • A themed set list designed for the group's age and ability

  • A professionally produced live performance

  • New songs, new challenges and new experiences every season
