Singing Lessons at Big Music

Big Music offers singing lessons for kids, teens and adults 7 days a week in our purpose-built studios in Crows Nest. Our experienced vocal coaches work with students of all levels - from complete beginners to confident singers - helping them develop healthy technique, confidence and musical expression.

Private Singing Lessons

My name is Alexa Young

Our one-on-one singing lessons are tailored to each student’s voice, goals and musical interests.

Lessons are suitable for:

  • children and teenagers

  • adults and seniors

  • beginners through to experienced singers
     

Your vocal coach will tailor lessons to suit your goals, which may include:

  • vocal technique and breath control

  • pitch, tone and range

  • confidence and stage presence

  • contemporary and popular styles

  • harmony and listening skills

  • preparation for performances or bands

Singing Option for Adults - Classic Hits Choir

A friendly, no-audition choir for adults who love singing popular songs in a relaxed, social environment.  The choir sings classic hits supported by a live band and is perfect for adults who:

  • enjoy singing with others

  • want a regular, social music experience

  • don’t want the pressure of solo singing

  • would like to improve their singing

  • interested in learning harmonies

  • are looking for something fun and uplifting

Singing Classes for Kids (ages 5-11)

In addition to private singing lessons, Big Music also offers after school music classes for kids that include singing as part of a broader musical foundation.

For younger children especially,  starting in a group-based program can be a great way to build confidence, coordination and basic musical skills before focusing on one instrument.  Our after school program enables kids to explore guitar, piano, drums and singing in a rotating weekly format.

 

This program runs every day from 3:30pm to 5:30pm with bus pick ups from several local schools, or simply drop off at Big Music in Crows Nest.

Singing Lesson Pricing

Private Lessons

Weekly lessons with a dedicated coach in a reserved time slot (in studio or online):

  • 30 mins - $69

  • 60 mins - $125​

​​​Off Peak Private Lessons

Available until 3pm (Mon-Fri) and after 7:30pm (Mon-Thu).  

  • ​30 mins - $60

  • 60 mins - $110 ​​​​

Flexipass: Prepaid Private Lessons

Pay in advance, save and book with flexibility

  • 5 x 30 mins - $320, 10 x 30 mins - $620

  • 5 x 60 mins - $595, 10 x 60 mins - $1150​​

Small Group Classes for Kids
