Big Music’s Junior Band Program is a one-of-a-kind experience, providing kids aged 8 -12 with the opportunity to play the music they love with other kids in a fully-fledged rock band, coached by professional musicians.

Expert Coaching by Real Musicians

What is a the Band Program? The Junior Band Program at Big Music is a unique rock and roll performance program where you'll join a cast of a themed Rock Show with other musicians, form bands and prepare for a live performance in front of friends and family at Big Music's own venue.

How much experience do you need? To get the most out of the program, you need to be at Level 4 on Big Music's Player Evolution grading scale. There is no expectation that you will have ever played in a band before, but you do need a basic level of competency on your instrument. Guitarists must be able to play power chords and understand guitar tabs. Bass players and drummers must be able to play through an entire song confidently and understand tempo and rhythm. Keyboard players must be able to play through an entire song using both hands. Singers must be able to learn songs at home and perform them with a band without reading lyrics. That's about it!
