Get to know our Coaches - Rachel Florence

In the Get to know our Coaches feature we have our coaches share a bit more about themselves, their experience in the music industry, what inspires them and what interests they have outside of music.

Today we have the multi-instrumental coach Rachel Florence. Rachel joined Big Music in 2017 and coaches drums, guitar, piano, bands and rock shows!

Best live show you have attended?

Nine Inch Nails at the Hordern Pavilion 2007.

What is your career highlight?

Headlining Oxford Art Factory with my band Mirella's Inferno (but we have had some big highlights on the way).

Who inspires you?

Vinnie Colaiuta, Trent Reznor, Grimes, Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd and Anika Niles.

Name a song that is your guilty pleasure?

A whole album I love (which others have told me to be ashamed of but I'm not!) is Aquarium by Aqua

Interests and hobbies apart from music?

Muay Thai (kickboxing) and art (sketching).

What's you hidden talent?

Sketching but I don't do it much these days.
