Local to Sydney, Rachel started learning classical piano and drums/percussion in primary school. Her love for music continued through high school, where she learnt bass, guitar & cello and studied Music 2 & Music Extension in high school (piano and composition) whilst gigging as a drummer from age 16 in a number of hip hop and metal bands.
Rachel completed a B. Music at AIM where she played in the Big Band, Salsa Band and Jazz Ensemble as well as working in rock, folk and cover bands. Since then she has played in her electro pop band (headlining Oxford Art Factory, playing various venues, festivals and warehouses across Sydney) as well as working with the independent collective Surveillance Party. Other work she has been engaged in includes cover gigs, recording sessions, production and social media management.
Rachel aims to create an environment where students can have fun and develop a passion for their instrument whilst ensuring they push their boundaries to get the most out of their learning experience.
Henry Sinclair has been playing drums and percussion since he was a youngster, from the age of 8. Developing a great passion for music, Henry developed his skills at high school at St. Ignatius’ College, Riverview. Here he developed a broader appreciation for, and ability to play a variety of music styles including Jazz, Latin, Funk and Rock. Henry has also played trumpet for as many years.
His awards include an Encore Nomination for performance in the 2013 HSC Music 1 course, as well as twice winning the Australian Percussion Eisteddfod’s solo drum kit award.
Henry is familiar with the requirements for music theory in the HSC Music 1 course.
Henry is passionate about drums and sharing this interest with his students. Lessons with Henry are fun and tailored to your specific needs; be it greater focus on technique, or the skills required to confidently play along with songs. Henry can teach an assortment of styles, including Jazz, Latin, Funk and Rock.

Kyle started out as a drummer by going into the kitchen at the age of 2 and overturning anything he could find to make it into a drum set. While keeping up his drumming, he took piano lessons for 8 years and made it his business to learn the guitar too, quickly discovering that music is his passion in life.
Kyle has played internationally in America, Japan and New Zealand. He currently drums for three bands, all of which have played shows around Australia and garnered supports with international acts. He is also sought out as a drummer for hire, filling in for acts such as Caligula and playing regularly with the band Tensions Arise, in which he has drummed for over 8 years.
Kyle has also spent a lot of time in the studio, recording 2 full-length albums, 2 EPs and several singles as well as recording in LA with renowned producer/ Logan Mader (ex Machinehead guitarist).
Most of all Kyle loves connecting with other musicians because he believes there is so much to learn from each other. Kyle is excited about the opportunity to share his knowledge and experience and to encourage others with their passion for music.
STEVE "WOODIE" WOODWARD

Woodie has been behind the kit for 20 years earning a reputation as a talented and reliable musician who can comfortably play a wide range of styles. During this time he has achieved a "Bachelor of Entertainment (Performance)" from JMC Music Academy.
Maintaining an active playing schedule with Sydney based Rock ‘n’ Roll band the Lockhearts, Woodie also works regularly as a drummer-for-hire when required.
Woodies' relaxed teaching style and individually tailored approach to drum lessons makes him a very colourful and in demand drum coach at Big Music.

Gene started playing drums with pots and pans at a very young age. He know has 36 years of musical experience including playing on 13 albums and 11 E.P’s. while working with Ed Clayton-Jones [ Nick Cave & Bad Seeds ], Ken Gormly [ The Cruel Sea ] Matthew De la Hunty [ Tall Tales & True ] Doug & Leo Dekroo [ The Dekroo Brothers ] and Peter Walsh & Amanda Brown from The Apartments [ Ex Go Betweens ].
Gene's philosophy is to coach the important fundamentals of drumming including posture, dynamics, technique and listening to band members and learning songs. Gene enjoys coaching, is very patient with his students and make his lessons fun.Over the years he has coached a diverse range of students and has witnessed first hand how music can change a persons life in a positive way.

Cutting his teeth playing drums in punk bands as a teenager, Ash now has over two decades of music and gigging experience. From drums, he quickly progressed to a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter. Ash’s past experience includes singer and front man for the prominent early nineties techno grunge band Caligula which experienced chart success and did a bucket load of tours with international bands including Depeche Mode, Pop Will Eat Itself, Ween, Siouxise and The Banshees, Neds Atomic Dustbin and Ride.
Songwriting and vocal technique are the strong points of his coaching style, which he combines with his wealth of industry knowledge gained as a result of signing a major label record and publishing deal at the age of 17.

While Cleo has a particular passion for classic rock, she grew up studying classical music and has a thorough approach to technique and skill acquisition. She has played with artists such as Idea of North, Synergy, Taikoz and Ice Cube as well as a number of orchestras and stage bands. Cleo is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music Education at the Sydney Conservatorium.
Cleo is an efficient communicator and very patient. She works on the fundamental principal that every student deserves respect not only in the way she interacts with them, but in the effort she puts into their lessons. She believes in the diverse creative abilities of all people and that music should be fun and intriguing.
After receiving his first drum kit at the age of 4, Jack has continued with his passion for the drumming to this day. He is a versatile drummer capable of playing and coaching a variety of different styles including jazz, funk, rock and metal.
Jack has participated in two US tours with Big Music, as well as two Australian tours as a support act in a pop punk band. Jack has had a relationship with Big Music for a number of years, initially as a band member and student. Recently, he spent 12 months working in a primary school caring for and coaching drums to kids aged 7-11.
Jack promises to maintain a fun, supportive learning environment and aims to transfer his passion for drumming and inspire those he coaches.
