SCHOOL HOLIDAY MUSIC CAMPS FOR KIDS

Every school holidays Big Music runs fun programs for kids aged 6-17 catering for all levels of musical experience and ability. The emphasis of our camp programs is fun and participation in playing and performing popular music with other kids. Each program runs for 4 days (9am-3pm) culminating in a performance for family and friends! Read more about our camp programs below.

All coaches have Working with Children certification and students are supervised by first aid certified staff at all times.  Read our Child Protection Policy here.

$460 for 4 days

Optional early drop off / late pick up for $20/ hour

PROGRAM 1: ULTIMATE ROCK EXPERIENCE

Multi Instrument Program – ages 6-12

The Ultimate Rock Experience is our “entry level” program for kids with little or no prior musical experience, or who are keen to try a few new instruments.  Participants are typically 6-12 years old.

 

Working in small groups lead by inspiring professional musicians, each day the kids rotate through lessons on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals. It’s a great way for kids to discover an instrument they love. At the end of the week the kids put on an awesome performance with their coaches in front of family and friends.

PROGRAM 2: HOLIDAY ROCK SHOW

Band Performance Program – ages 10-17

Holiday Rock Show is for kids who have been learning an instrument for at least one year. A short audition may be required for first timers. Participants are typically 10+ years of age.

 

Students work hands-on with their pro musician coach to prepare for a live rock show in front of family and friends at the end of the week. Along the way they’ll spend time developing their musicianship, rehearsing, songwriting, learning stagecraft and interacting with other young musicians. It’s the coolest and most authentic rock star experience any kid could have!
