100% Birch Shell Stage Custom has evolved again!

As with the introduction of Stage Custom in 1995 YAMAHA once again sets the standards of value and sound. By borrowing from our legendary Recording Custom drums, we are proud to introduce new 100% Birch Shell Stage Custom.

The Stage Custom Birch series is great for the beginner or the working professional. The staggered diagonal seam allows us to build a thin shell that will start round and stay round. The beautiful high-gloss lacquer finish and low-mass lugs lets the shell vibrate for superb tone and sustain.

Stage Custom Birch is available in three configurations as shell packs, as complete drumsets with our 700 series hardware, or as individual components.

he shell is a key factor in a drums ability to "rumble," or resonate. Accordingly, the Stage Custom employs 100% birch - a classic in the realm of high-class drum kits. Moreover, with its six-ply structure the Stage Custom accurately conveys the vibrations produced at the impact surface, achieving performance that overwhelms anything of its class.

BALL CLAMP AND TRIPLE TOM HOLDER

Stage Custom drum sets includes the TH-945B triple tom holder with our tom ball clamp that gives you 360-degree rotation. The ball, made of a super-hard resin, is held in place by a single bolt making angle adjustments on the toms quick and easy. The toms lock firmly in place at virtually any angle you want. This versatile tom holder lets you mount any combination of up to three toms and/or cymbals by using either the standard or the long version of our tom ball clamp and CH model cymbal booms

YESS TOM AND FLOOR TOM BRACKETS

All Stage Custom toms and floor toms use Yamahas Enhanced Sustain System (YESS). Mounts are attached at the drums nodal point, which is the location on a shell with the least amount of vibration allowing for the mount to have minimal affect to the resonance of the shell. The floor tom brackets are small, minimal contact mounts that are also located at the drums nodal point. They hold the legs securely in place without restricting the vibration of the shell.
