Rafael has many musical abilities and styles, Classical, Jazz, Latin, Pop... and he coaches in a way that empowers the aspiring pianist to understand harmony and the chords flowing through the music, whether it be Jazz, Classical or Pop.

For many years, Raf called Los Angeles "home", working on commercials and films. For six years, he was also the resident pianist at the high-voltage Venice eatery, 72 Market Street, a restaurant owned by Dudley Moore and Tony Bill. During his tenure there, Raf met and performed for many a famous person. Most memorable perhaps,was an evening spent teaching Bob Dylan how to play a Gershwin song. 

Raf has three CDs of original music in release (iTunes, etc.) and in addition to coaching, works as a producer and arranger as well as songwriter.

His professional memberships include AGSC–– Australian Guild of Screen Composers, MCA–-Music Council Australia; Equity Alliance, and APRA/AMCOS. In the United States, Raf is member of NARAS––the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (as producer, composer, arranger and lyricist) as well as its Latin counterpart, LARAS.
